PRAYER OF APPROACH
AS FATHER
Father, as a son/daughter, I request the covering of Your Love. overshadow me with your comfort and help me to feel safe in your arm. Without the comfort and covering of your love, I will be exposed to many unpleasant things, that would be contrary to the feelings that I have for you.
Every father takes care of his own, therefore, I am totally dependent upon you as my source of all comforts.
I accept your conditions and principles for my life, for they are the guidelines that propel me to a deeper relationship with you.
I thank you that I am not an orphan, because your love and care have cross heavenly boundaries just to embrace and keep me warm. In the blanket of your warmth, I take comfort and refuge.
I ask, that you please provide all my needs, and do not let me endure the shame and scorn of my enemies who continually ridicule me.
My friends have clothed themselves with garments of pride, and their father the devil have given them all that they want. But Father, I do not seek after the earthly things that they seek, because your love has taught me the value of the things that are eternal.
Therefore, all my needs are set before you and you know them before I ask you. You have already prepared a place of inheritance for me.
Oh Father, as a son/daughter, I am open to your conditions for my life. Let your wisdom never cease in me and I will bring glory and honour to your name.
As a son [daughter], help me to stay within your counsel and will, and mould my heart to take heed to your wise counsels that I may become an adherent your household principles.
Father, not one of the Sparrows fall to the ground without your knowledge, how much more are your eyes upon me? Uphold me and please don’t let me fall.
The flowers do not toil, yet they are beautifully clothed in various colours, how much more will you clothe me? I am your creation, but more than just a creation; I am your child, and you are my father. Upon this union, clothe me, and provide for me my daily needs. And if I have found grace in your sight, provide also my daily wants; as David said, the Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want.
The supply of all my needs testify to the goodness of your Fatherhood, and the supply of my wants will testify to my desire to give you glory in and with all things.
Heavenly Father, My Father, I represents you in the way that I am clothed, clothe me in proper and modest clothes that I may reflect your house.
Give me access to the prosperity of your house, that I may reflect the wealth of the principles that governs your house.
I have gone astray many times in my ways and attitude, but as my father your banner over me is love.
Let me have need and want of nothing; for in your house there is no lack.
In this atmosphere of gratitude, I give you thanks for being the Best Father.
To you be all praise, honour and glory, now and forever Amen!
