DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BREAKTHROUGH AND DELIVERANCE
Whenever you are in a situation, there is always a glorification by your decision; either God gets the glory or the Devil gets the glory.
The good decisions that we make can facilitate our spiritual disposition.
Many people are still bound by spiritual chains because they do not understand the difference between deliverance and breakthrough.
Some people want deliverance from a situation, but it is a breakthrough they really need, while some people want a breakthrough, but it is deliverance they need.
DELIVERANCE: A person needs deliverance when his/her situation is generated by an acute demonization [a sudden demonically induced situation]. Demonically induced situations are situations where the person is tormented, harassed, and oppressed by demons. This could be by witchcraft, open doors etc.
Jesus does not want and will not tolerate his people being tormented by demons; therefore, instant deliverance is needed.
BREAKTHROUGH: A person may be going through a situation and as hard as it is, God would want the person to go through it. These are not situations where demons are tormenting you through nightmares, demonic apparitions, visual or auditory hallucination etc., but they are the hardships of a daily life.
A spiritual breakthrough is an experience of having reached the end of a level of spirituality. It is where you have gone through the fire of trials and made it out. [This is normally called reaching the light at the other end of the tunnel]. Every level has its own lessons and tests which is called the trying of silver.
A Situation that is influenced or guided by God’s permissive will for the person’s life is for his or her spiritual benefit. Therefore, the person does not need deliverance from this situation, but need a breakthrough.
THE 7 GATES OF SUFFERINGS (Romans 8:35)
Isaiah 48:10 says, “Behold, I have refined you, but not with silver; I have chosen you in the furnace of affliction”. There are 7 levels of trials that we must encounter when we are entering the 7 gates of faith and sanctification.
To every breakthrough, there is an Oil of Anointing that is poured upon the head of the victor. 1Peter 5:10, “But the God of all grace, He calling us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little, He will perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”
