HELL FOR THE UNSAVED- THE PIT
In the area of Hell where fire dwells, there are Pits of fire. In each Pit there is a soul; the soul of an ungodly person. This is Gehenna and is with its “unquenchable fire” (Mk 9:43).
For those who do not believe in Hell, let us look at the ancient scriptures on this.
A good example is in the rich man’s sad case. Luke 16 says, “the rich man also died, and was buried; Vs.23, “Luke 16:23, “And in Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torments,” The rich man was buried in a “Grave”, yet it says that he lifted his eyes and was in torment. It also speaks about the man being in flames Vs.24, “and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame”. There is no flame in the physical grave. This means the man physical body was buried, but his conscious soul lived on beyond the grave in a place of torment. Critics believe that Christians are the ones who brought up this after life torment theory in order to scare people; but hear what Prophet Daniel said in Daniel 12:2, “And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.”
The righteous and wicked have a different place in eternity. The rich man who was wicked went to hell fire and Lazarus who was a poor righteous man went to Paradise.
WHAT IF YOU DIE IN YOUR SINS AND LATER FOUND OUT THAT HELL IS REALLY A PLACE OF FIRE?
Hebrews 9:27 says, “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this THE JUDGEMENT”
Isaiah 5:14, “Therefore Hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure:” Nonetheless, God the Father has made a way of escape from Hell.
Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
ONE DAY WE WILL DIE! . .
Hell was made for Satan and his Demon as a place of separation from his light; a place of eternal torment because of sin and iniquity.
Revelation 21:8, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone..”
Revelation 14:10, “The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God,…and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone…”
These passages may be scary, but they are real as the air you breathe. It would be better to believe that Hell is real, and finds out after death that it is not, rather than believe it is not and finds out after death that it is real.
Throughout the years, many people have experienced Near Death Experiences and have shared stories of their experiences in Hell. Some say the experiences are not real, but are chemicals in the brain, however, the similarity of the thousands of stories ignites convictions and raises many questions. There has also been documented information where people would hear noises of wailing and agonizing weeping coming from pits and volcanoes.
Hell is no fairy tale. Jesus said in Luke 13:3, “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
Jesus also says in Mathew 13:42, “and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth”.
Mathew 25:41, “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire”.
In Mark 9:43-48 it’s written, “And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Vs.44 “Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.”
Revelation 21:8, also speak of that result of those who are living in sin and refuse to repent, and what would become of them. It says; “the fearful, the unbelieving, the abominable, the murderers, the whoremongers, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone.”
This means frankly that the wicked will suffer some form of torment by fire and all nation that forget God. To ignore Hell is to call God a liar.
Deuteronomy 32:22, “For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains." This hell is not the hell that is considered the grave.
Romans 10:9, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
