KING DAVID'S FAMILY CURSE, SON OF A HARLOT
ANALYZING THE GENERATIONAL CURSE OF DAVID, DECENDANT OF A PROSTITUTE
When we look at David, his iniquity stemmed from a family bloodline that was contaminated with prostitution which came from Jericho.
In scriptures, it was the iniquities of the parents that are passed unto the children, not the sins. [Exo 20:5, “visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.”]
[Difference between Sin and Iniquity
INIQUITY - The most common Hebrew word for iniquity is “Āwōn”; Greek [anomı́a]
Āwōn is to “to err,” “go astray”; and consequently, expresses the idea of error, deviation from the right path. Principally, it does not donate an action, but the “character of an action,” and is distinguished from “sin” (ḥaṭṭā'th). Psalms says, “the iniquity of my sin” (Psalms 32:5).
SIN – Greek, hamartano, “miss the mark”; Hebrew ḥaṭṭā'th, “a missing,” 'wōn, “perversity”, pesh‛, “transgression,”].
I want to make it clear that sin refers to the act, and iniquity refers to the “addiction and character characterize by perverted thoughts” of sin.
Hence, we see that it was not the sins of the parents but their iniquities [the pervert character] of this family bloodline that would be passed down to four generations.
Let us analyze this in David’s family case.
David was the youngest son of Jesse, and yes, Jesse was David’s biological father. However, David said, in Psalms 51:5, “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.” In his prayer to God in Psalms 51, David is acknowledging his perverted, twisted and crooked ways and placed the blame upon the dilemma of him being conceived [create in the womb (an embryo) by a fertilized egg] in his mother’s sin, and shapen in the likeness of the iniquities of his ancestors.
This quietly informs us that either Jesse’s wife was not David’s biological mother, and that David’s real mother was either a prostitute, [which also explains why David’s mother is never mentioned by name], or she was Jesse’s concubine as in Abraham’s case; or Jesse’s wife was an outside Maid, or Jesse took a maid as David’s mother and later marry her.
Either way, Psalms 86:16 tells us that she was a handmaid of God, and 1Sa 22:3-4 gives indication that Jesse and David’s mother may have been together as a couple. [1Sa 22:3, “And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth, and be with you, till I know what God will do for me”. 1Sa 22:4, “And he brought them before the king of Moab:”
Despite all these, the fact remains, when Jesse slept with this Handmaid, they were not married, and David was a child out of wedlock.
In addition to this, let us look at David’s Ancestors
Mat 1:5-6, “Salmon and Rahab were the father and mother of Boaz. Boaz and Ruth were the father and mother of Obed. Obed was the father of Jesse, Jesse the father of King David. David and Uriah's wife Bathsheba were the father and mother of Solomon”.
Coincidentally, Rahab the wife of Salmon was a Prostitute from Jericho, and was the great, great, grandmother of king David.

DAVID’S FORNICATION & CHILD OUT OF WEDLOCK
2Sa 11:4, “David sent messengers to go and bring Bathsheba to him. She had just purified herself after her monthly time of bleeding. She went to David, he had sexual relations with her, and then she went back to her house”.
2Sa 11:5, “Later, Bathsheba became pregnant. She sent word to him saying, "I am pregnant."
DECEPTIVE STRATEGY
David tries to frame Uriah into receiving a false child. 2 Samuel 11:8-14.
DAVID’S MURDER -David Assigned Uriah to his death.
2Sa 11:15, “And he wrote in the letter, saying, "Set Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and draw back from him so that he may be stricken and die."
CURSE ON DESCENDANTS
“The sword shall never depart from thine house,” the prophet Nathan told him, “Because thou hast despised me [the Lord], and hast taken the wife of Uriah”.
SEXUAL IMMORALITY IN HOUSEHOLD – “INCEST”
Amnon Raped his sister Tamar in 2Sam 13:14, “But Amnon would not listen to what she said. He was stronger than she was, so he overpowered her and raped her.
HATRED AMONG SIBLINGS
Amnon hated Tamar his sister after raping her - 2Sa 13:15, “Then Amnon began to hate Tamar. He hated her much more than he had loved her before.”
Absalom hated Amnon for raping his sister - 2Sa 13:22, “Absalom began to hate Amnon. Absalom did not say one word, good or bad, to Amnon, but he hated him because Amnon had raped his sister Tamar.
ABSALOM’S MURDER AND SEXUAL WICKEDNESS
Absalom murdered his brother Amnon for raping their sister.
2Sa 13:28 Then Absalom gave this command to his servants, "Watch Amnon. When he is drunk and feeling good from the wine, I will give you the command. You must attack Amnon and kill him…”
2Sa 13:29 So Absalom's young soldiers did what he said. They killed Amnon.”
Vs.32, “…Only Amnon is dead. Absalom has been planning this from the day that Amnon raped his sister Tamar.
ABSALOM ATTEMPTED MURDER.
2Sam 13:29, “So Absalom's young soldiers did what he said. They killed Amnon. But all of David's other sons escaped. Each son got on his mule and escaped.”
ABSALOM PLOTTED AGAINST HIS FATHER.
In 2Sam 15, Absalom was enraged for his sister Tamar and plotted against his father king David because the king neglected to deal with Amnon’s wickedness when he raped his sister Tamar.
ABSALOM HAD SEX WITH HIS FATHER’S WIVES ON PURPOSE
After this, Absalom slept with his Father’s wives in 2Sam 16:22, “Then they put up a tent for Absalom up on the roof of the house. Absalom had sexual relations with his father's wives so that all the Israelites could see what happened.” This was a violation of Lev 20:11, “And the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.”
SOLOMON’S UNCLEAN PASSION & IDOLATRY
Even Solomon, the son of Bathsheba and David was victim to the iniquity of the bloodline [Generational Curse] and became a womanizer. [1Kings 11:1, “And King Solomon loved many foreign women, even the daughter of Pharaoh, Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, Hittites.” Vs.3, “And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines. And his wives turned away his heart”.]
Why was all these curses afflicting David’s Household? It was a Sword. God said though the Prophet in 2Sa 12:10, “Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house”. It means that the sword was already in David’s household, most likely from Rahab’s iniquities, but when he sinned and took Bathsheba, God decided to keep that sword in David’s household.
We also see doors opened to demonic operations.
[1Ki 11:4 For it came to pass when Solomon was old, his wives turned away his heart after other gods. And his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God as was the heart of David his father,
1Ki 11:5 For Solomon went after Ashtoreth, the goddess of the Sidonians, and after Milcom, the abomination of the Ammonites.]
