MYSTERY BEHIND PRAYING IN TONGUES & PRAYING IN
THE SPIRIT
TONGUES OF FIRE
This practice is the type of Prayer which ascends into the heavenlies like a fire ball, and grows and increases in velocity as it ascend. This is the fourth kind of Prayer, and cannot be stopped in the second heaven by the satanic celestial guardians. When it approaches the thick darkness of the second heaven, it releases lightnings and electrical voltage that scatters demonic gatherings and barriers.
The intensity of the heat is determined by the level of glory upon this spiritual language. This tongues could be generated by Praying with the spirit [your human spirit that prays as it is connected to God's power source] OR by Praying IN the Spirit [your human praying under the direct influence of the Holy power of God]. However, there is a difference between praying and seeking God's face; there is a difference between prayer and supplication; there is a difference between Prayer Petition and Prayer Warfare; and there is a difference between praying with the spirit and praying in the spirit. The first misconception that those who speak in tongues make is to think that praying in the spirit is speaking in tongues. The confusion is in the terms; "praying with" and "praying in". |
PRAYING "WITH" THE SPIRIT
Praying WITH the spirit [lower case "s" represent the human spirit] is praying in Tongues.
1 Corinthians:14:15, "I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also."
This is confirmed in the previous verse; 1 Corinthians:14:14, "For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth,"
Many people pray "with" their spirit (speaking in tongues) but they do not pray IN the Spirit.
Note: Prayers with groanings that cannot be uttered; is not praying in tongues; but it is prayer in the form of groanings that is uttered in the Holy Spirit. It's where your spirit and the Spirit becomes one in prayer and you prays the will of God. This truth now opens us to Praying in the Spirit.
PRAYING "IN" THE SPIRIT
Praying IN the Spirit [upper case "S" represents the Holy Spirit] is praying within the will of the Spirit of God; becoming one with God's will.
1 Corinthians 2:11-12, "For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God."
This confirms and makes it clear that God reveals "HIS" will through the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 2:10, "But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God".
When we know the will of God that is in the heart of the Spirit, we then pray within this line. This is called praying in [within] the Spirit.
Romans 8:27, "And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God".
When prayers are prayed outside the Spirit, the Demons would come and answer these prayers.
For example, a woman would pray for a man. Shortly after, she would meet a man with some qualities that looks like her criteria; and would think it is God's answer to her prayer. In space of time, they find themselves in a long term relationship of fornication, and grew farther away from God because of the lifestyle. This has also resulted in having a family outside marriage; why? Because the Devil answered the prayer.
God will not give you a man to kill your spiritual life by fornication and sin. It does not mean that the man was not God's will for you, but anything outside the timing of God is of the timing of the Devil.
Also, as human you are prone to err; for David err with Bathsheba and was punished, yet she became his wife and brought forth the promises of God. Nevertheless, a lifestyle of fornication and sin as a Christian is not God’s doing. 1 John 3:8, “Whoever continues to sin belongs to the Devil, because the Devil has sinned from the very beginning.”
