PERSONAL CURSES
PERSONAL CURSES FROM GOD
As I said earlier, many curses from God are accomplish by divine decree with no demonic interference, but most are accomplish by the operation of Demons. Personal Curses sent by God can range from demonization (1Sa 16:15), to confusion, personal disasters, sickness etc. as mentioned in Deuteronomy 28. According to scriptures, these curse are perform by Demons, even if God is the one who initiated and placed the curse. God, because of his purity and holiness cannot perform a demonic curse; neither can his Angels. He uses the Demons to perform the curses and carry them out. This can be clearly seen in 2Co 12:7-8 and 2Ch 18:20-22.
People who do not believe that God can put a curse, here are few examples:
Deuteronomy 28:15-28 is listed with curses from God Himself. This is not hereditary; it is curses from personal choices.
Another example is Jeremiah 17:5, "Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD".
Jeremiah 17:6, "For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited."
In addition, we see in the case of Saul - 1Sa 16:14, “The LORD's spirit left Saul, and an evil spirit sent by the LORD tormented him."
1Sa 16:15, "His servants said to him, "We know that an evil spirit sent by God is tormenting you".
1Sa 16:16, "So give us the order, sir, and we will look for a man who knows how to play the harp. Then when the evil spirit comes on you, the man can play his harp, and you will be all right again."
1Sa 16:23, "From then on, whenever the evil spirit sent by God came on Saul, David would get his harp and play it. The evil spirit would leave, and Saul would feel better and be all right again".
We also see a curse from God in Zechariah 5:1-4, where a curse was written and destined for the home of every thief and swearer.
Malachi 2:2, “yea, I have cursed them already ...I will even send a curse upon you,…”
Genesis 12:3, “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee:”
Genesis 8:21, “And the LORD smelled a sweet savour …I will not again curse the ground”
Genesis 4:11, “And now art thou cursed from the earth,”
Genesis 5:29, “because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.” All of these are given because of rebellion towards God.
These curses are placed by God Himself, according to Deuteronomy 11:28, “And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known”;
PERSONAL CURSES THROUGH SINS
Involvement in sins can bring curses upon our lives. Many Christians who have had a rugged pass may have at some point dabbled into something sinful and open a doorway. According to the sin, it is possible for a curse to accompany the sinful act.
Many people are more concerned about generational curses and usually blame their current dilemmas upon generation curses, but hardly do an evaluation of their own personal life to blame their situations upon their own sins and iniquities. 2 Corinthians 13:5, “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves”.
1 Corinthians 11:28, “But let a man examine himself,”
Jacob knew that deceiving his father would put a curse upon his life, however, his mother knew it also, and took the curse upon her. Gen 27:12, "Perhaps my father will touch me, and he’ll take me for a mocker, and I’ll bring upon myself a curse and not a blessing.”
Gen 27:13, "Then his mother said to him, “Let your curse fall on me, my son. Just listen to me, and go, get them for me.”
Every person is responsible for his or her lifestyle on earth knowing there are consequences to sinful actions and blessings to good actions.
PERSONAL CURSES BY WITCHCRAFT
Curses that come from Witches or occult practitioners are also very common. Nevertheless, these can only come upon a person who is active in sin, or who possesses an open door from past personal sinful actions or inherited doorways. These curses can be done from thousands of miles away, and can be very effective though matter the distance.
All curses from witchcraft are carried out by Demons. In most cases, when a wizard or Witch is performing a curse upon someone, an item or name and/or date of birth of the victim is required for accuracy; not accuracy of the curse but to enable the Demons to find that person where every he or she is.
Psa 125:3, “For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity”.
In addition, when a curse is send against you, and it cannot touch you, it will linger, looking for a way to get to you. During this time, the demons will work hard to find your weaknesses and use them against you to cause you to fall into sin. If you fall into sin, this would give then a right to execute the curse. If the person do not fall into sin, the demons will return with that curse and it may place it upon the sender.
In the area of curses, if the Devil has legal ground he will try to dominate; for this is his right. That is why the Devil and the demons always try to get a person sin, for they know that only sin can open a doorway for them and give them legal right to ruin that person's life.

ACCEPTING A CURSE ON YOUR OWN SELF
Many times, we bring curses upon ourselves in the simpleness of ways; we accept a curse or can bind ourselves to a curse.
Gen 27:13, "Then his mother said to him, “Let your curse fall on me, my son. Just listen to me, and go, get them for me.”
Mat 27:25, "All the people answered and said, “His blood be on us and on our children!” - (they invoked a personal and generation Curse)
In Matthew 12:36-37, Jesus gives a solemn warning about the danger of negative and careless words; "But l say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgement. "For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."
COMMON SELF PROCLAIM CURSES
1. Mental and/or Emotional Disorder
All these will have effect by continuing proclamation. Proverbs 6:2, "…Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth”
Proverbs 18:21, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof".
