TRUE NAME OF THE GOD OF ISRAEL
Throughout Christianity, we have been praying and calling upon the Father, but it’s sad to say that most of us do not call the Father by his name, nor address him by his name.
We say that we are called by His Name, yet many have no idea what this name is or at least his real name.
There is ONE GOD, yet He has many names, but only four of His names are revealed in the Bible: EL-SHADDAI (Exo 6:3), AHYH (Exo 3:14), YHVH (Exo 3:15) and YAH (Psalms 68:4); but the most used name is YHVH.
However, in the later copies of the Tanakh, the scribes replaced the Holy name “YHVH” by the all caps “ADONAI”, which is “LORD” in English”. This was done in order to preserve God’s holy Name for fear of Exodus 20:7 which says, “Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.”
We say God or Lord; but though the Father’s name has been removed from scriptures, few have been preserved. How important is it to call the Father’s name? The Father has a Name!
Isaiah 52:6, “Therefore my people will know my name;
Psalms 91:14, “Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known My Name”. – it’s all about His name.
YAH ( יה)
This name of God is the most indisputable and clear and does not need linguistic to decipher it.
It’s found in Psalms 68:4. “extol Him that rideth upon the heavens by his name YAH,”
When you use the name Yah, it has a meaning.
The Yod(Y) means "To Be", "Eternal".
It's a dot; all of creation came forth from a single point – a point which represents God’s infinite presence.
You can take anything in the Universe, and it will become a dot from a far distance.
So, the Yod (Y) is the point or origin and that's why it starts the Holy name of God Yah-/Yahu/Yahusha/Yahuah.
The "Hei"(H/ah) is the second part of the name Yah and has the "ah" sound.
Hei represents the Breath of the Creator. It is to breath-Ruach. (Psalm 33:6 – "and by the breath of his mouth all their host were created." The world was created with the utterance of the Hei, and this is confirmed in Psa 104:30, “Thou sendest forth thy spirit (Ruach- Hei), they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.
It therefore creates the verb of being (היה Hayah – To Be.
The pronunciation of the name of Yah is as the sound of a breath; and it’s the breath of life in your mouth.
Also, it is written as "iah" as in Hezekiah, Jeremiah, Obadiah etc; all these names as compound with the name of God. It is written as “iah because this is how the name Yah is pronounced, e.g. Yasha-yahu is written as- Isa-iah where the (Y) becomes and (I).
Also seen in Halleluyah. Halleluyah (Greek Hallelujah) is written in Rev 19:6 as Alleluia.
ABBA
To know the Truth of the Bible, you MUST go back to the Hebrew; but you do not have to learn the language.
Each letter in Hebrew send forth a frequency and has a meaning.
Aleph is A in Latin/English and Bet is B in the same.
A B (AB) means nothing to us in English, but Aleph Bet have great meaning in Hebrew.
Aleph (Hebrew) is Alpha (Greek) which represents, “Beginning”, “First”, “the One/the Eternal One/the Existing One”; who is the Father.
Bet represents Ten/House/Home; therefore, Aleph-Bet (AB) gives the word Ab=Abba; which means Father of the Home or Father of the House.
Father Yah is ABBA YAH, See? This is what God is to us; Abba.
EL-SHADDAI- (Given to Abraham)
The name El-Shaddai was first revealed to Abraham in Genesis 17:1, “And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the YHVH appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am El-Shaddai; walk before me, and be thou perfect.”
The Hebrew text says in Exodus 6:3, “Elohim spoke to Moshe; he said to him, “I am YHVH. I appeared to Avraham, Yitz’chak and Ya‘akov as El Shaddai, although I did not make myself known to them by my name, YHVH.
God said in Genesis 35:11, “I am El-Shaddai”; however, El-Shaddai is wrongly translated in our English Bibles as “God Almighty.” This rendering is apparently based on the Greek Old Testament’s translation of the name as “pantokrator”, which means “all powerful.”
Although the Septuagint (Greek Old Testament) translated “Shaddai”, to be “pantokrator”- (All mighty/powerful), the etymology of a Hebrew word does not derive from Greek; nor is the Greek word and interpretation supported by the etymology of Hebrew.
The meaning that is derived from the Hebrew name El-Shaddai is “Breast” and donates a feminine root word.
El-Shaddai is derived from three (3) Hebrew words that ties perfectly into the nature and character of God in Israel: “El”- “SHAD” - “DAI”
“EL” is the Hebrew word for God. It is the singular form of the word 'ĕlôhı̂ym and short form for Eloah.

“day” (dahee)
Able, according to, after (ability), among, as (oft as), (more than) enough, from, in, since, (much as is) sufficient (-ly), too much, very.
The suffix “day” is also written as “dai”, as the Yod (I) is also pronounced as “I” (iy). This is seen in the word 'ădhōnāy where the “y” at the end is turned into an “I” to form; Adonai.
Therefore, according to the Hebrew root words, EL-SHADDAI actually means “the GOD OF BREASTS” or “MANY BREASTED ONE”, “THE ALL SUFFICIENT GOD” who is able to nourish us in ALL things. Why Breast? the breast is one of the key symbols of nurturing, sustenance and parental love passed on from God the parent, to Christians, the children of God.
El Shaddai may contribute to the understanding of the motherly side of God to nourish, i.e. with milk and honey.
Gen. 49:25 (this verse uses only Shaddai): “by the God of your father, who will help you, by Shaddai who will bless you with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lies beneath, blessings of the breasts and of the womb.”
Virtually many uses of El Shaddai occurs in a fertility context (Exod. 6:3, Gen. 28:3, Gen. 35:11).
Ruth 1:20, 21: Naomi bitterly speaks of how Shaddai has dealt bitterly with her, depriving her of fertility.
Fertility is always bound to the feminine anointing- the female aspect who is able to produce and reproduce. This is the Glory of God which manifest productivity and bear fruits. The Male aspect do not bear fruits, but ONLY the female aspect bear fruits. For the male, the term "His Seed" (Num 25:13) is used, but for the feminine, the term "Fruit of her womb" is used, (Gen 30:2).
Also, Shaddai is said to be a derivation of a Semitic stem that appears in the Akkadian shadû ("mountain") and shaddā`û or shaddû`a ("mountain-dweller"); thus giving us the term “God of the Mountains”, which would explain Son 2:8, “The voice of my Beloved! Behold, He comes leaping on the mountains, skipping on the hills”.
This theory of interpretation as God of the Mountains intertwines with the characteristics of God.
Throughout scriptures God seemed to have a special attachment to mountain tops. Terms were used such as the Mount of God,
David said Psalms 121:1, “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
Why would his help come from the hills? We also see other scriptures such as:
Micah 1:3, “The LORD is coming from his holy place; he will come down and walk on the tops of the mountains”.
Psa 9:11 Sing praises to the LORD who dwells in Zion; [the Mountain of God] declare his mighty deeds among the peoples.
Exo_3:1 “Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb”.
Eze_28:14, “Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God”
Exo 19:20 And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.
Psalm 97:5 The mountains melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
Isa_2:2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
Isaiah 64:1 Oh, that You would rend the heavens and come down, That the mountains might quake at Your presence-
Micah 1:3-4 “For behold, the LORD is coming forth from His place He will come down and tread on the high places of the earth. The mountains will melt under Him…”
Habakkuk 3:3-6, “God comes from Teman, And the Holy One from Mount Paran Selah His splendor covers the heavens, And the earth is full of His praise”.
Isa_28:21 For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.
Mountain and hills represent strength.
This is why the Bible says Psa_97:5 The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD,
When ever Jesus wanted to pray, he went atop a mountain, Moses went atop a mountain, Elijah went atop a mountain, David went atop a mountain, Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, it was atop a mountain; the list goes on
When Jesus left earth, he left atop a mountain, and when he returns, he will come atop mountain. Mountain also represent Kingdom. Kingdom and strength are related.
To summarize, EL-SHADDAI means based on Hebrew Etymology the “Many Breasted One” OR “God of the Mountains” OR “God of many Breasts”.
AHYH הָיָה (AHâYâH)
This name is given to Moses to give to the children of Israel in Exodus 3. To know the true name and meaning, you must read it from the Hebrew scriptures. It was meant to give the Israelites a perspective and understanding that this God, “HE IS”; He is everything, and that which the mind can and cannot comprehend; your very desire, He is.
Exodus 3:13, Then Moshe replied to Elohim, “Suppose I go to the people of Yisra’el and say to them, ‘The Elohim of your ancestors has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ What should I tell them?”
V.s. 14, “Elohim answered Moshe, “AHaYaH Asher AHaYaH. This is what you must say to the people of Yisra’el: ‘AHaYaH has sent me to you.”
This is pronounced as “A-Ha-Y-aH” - ALEPH (A) HEY (H) YOD (Y) HEY (H); which means, “To Be” or “To Become”, “To Exist”, “To Be”.
YHVH(Tetragrammaton), יְהֹוָה- Exo 3:15, 15. Elohim said further to Moshe, “Say this to the people of Isra’el: YHVH, Elohim of your fathers, Elohei Avraham, Elohei Yitzchak, and Elohei Ya’akov, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever;
Exo 34:6, “And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, YHVH, YHVH ELOHEI, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth”,
YHVH/YHWH is pronounced as:
“Y” (Yod) which has the sound of “ee”, “iy”.
“H” (Hei) which has the sound of “He”, “H”.
“V” (Vav) which is a “U”, and has the sound of “Ou”, “Oo”.
“H” (Hei) which has the sound of “He”, “H” and “Ah” if it comes at the end of the word.
Therefore, when you put the letters together you get the name YHVH= Y-AH-U-AH = YAHUAH and it sounds as (iY-ah-oo-ah).
Yehweh/Yahweh/yahwah/yahuweh as just variation is saying the name, but the name is actually YAHUAH.
“Aravat” This name is mentioned in the Book of Enoch”
So how important is His Name?
It is therefore demanded in scriptures that we call upon “the Name” of God Most High.
Psalms 8:1 YAHUAH, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
Psalms 116:13 I will take the cup of salvation and call upon the name of the YAHUAH.
Psalms 116:17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving and will call upon the name of the YAHUAH.
Zephaniah 3:9 For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the YAHUAH, to serve him with one consent.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the YAHUAH shall be saved.
Exodus 9:16, “and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth”.
