WHAT IS RELIGION
IN A CHRISTIAN CHURCH?
Religion basically means, the fundamental belief system and worship of a particular group of people in a supernatural entity. It's their faith, worship, creed, teaching, doctrine, theology etc.
When I speak of Religion or a religious church, I am not referring to the belief system of the church, but is in fact referring to the Christian Churches that are under the influence of the "spirit of Jezebel", the "spirit of Cain" the "spirit of Balaam", the "spirit of Babylon", the "spirit of Ahab". All these spirits operate under the "spirit of Error" in 1John 4:6; corporately these are subjects of the anti-Christ. SEE LIST OF CHURCH SPIRITS HERE
Religious churches kill the potential and ministry of Christians. Either this spirit would block the person from entering into his/her ministry in the church, or if the person is doing great services in the Church and is gaining recognition by the congregation, the Pastor or Leader would block the person because the pastor is afraid that this person would get more popularity than him or her.
This is what happened with Saul [representation of Religion] and David [representing the church]. David rose to popularity as a servant and Saul tried to kill him twice because of jealousy.
1Sa 18:7, In their celebration the women sang, "Saul has killed thousands, but David tens of thousands."
1Sa 18:8 Saul did not like this, and he became very angry. He said, "For David they claim tens of thousands, but only thousands for me. They will be making him king next!"
1Sa 18:9 And so he was jealous and suspicious of David from that day on.
1Sa 18:10 The next day an evil spirit from God suddenly took control of Saul,
A Religious church judges you and condemns you, as if it [the majority] has no sin or never had sin. This type of church is always ready to crucify you when you fall or fail and looks at you like the scum of the earth, while they look at themselves as "too holier than thou".
Instead of showing love and kindness to the weak Christians, they excommunicate them, and even look down on them as nothing.
My thought is this; You may not be a thief like brother so and so, but it doesn't mean that you should judge him. You may not be a thief, but you may be a liar or a fornicator or even adulterer; all sins are in danger of Hell.
Therefore, the words of Jesus is their rebuke; Luke 6:42, "How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take out the speck in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the beam in your own eye? You hypocrite! First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly the speck in your brother’s eye, to take it out.”
The Jezebel spirit is a spirit of witchcraft and control, and a spirit of manipulation, domination and godlessness.
She dominates over Church affairs, establishing “Theology Schools”, “False churches”, “False mentors”, and “False Books and False doctrines”. She seduce male pastors who are not seasoned in the Truth and God, causing them to make decisions even if it is not in the best interest of the family and the church. Jesus rebuked the Religious leaders and said the tax-collectors and prostitutes will enter heaven first, before the Children of the kingdom (Mat 21:31). Why? because Mat 21:32 says, "For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him; but the tax collectors and the harlots believed him".
Does it mean that Prostitutes as Prostitutes will enter Heaven? No!
It simply means that the Prostitutes will receive salvation and enter Heaven before those who are religious.
The statement of Jesus explains it very well in Mat 8:11, "And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven". VS.12, "But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth".
In a Religious church, if you missed church two Sundays then you are not committed: if you missed few Sundays, then you are drawing back and if you missed a month then you are backsliden. The Church would use the scripture in Hebrews 10:25 to condemn you, "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together".
The Holy Spirit says, we are called unto liberty. Daily or weekly Church attendance is not a bondage, ritual or situation of hostage; it is an opportunity of fellowship and grow spiritually as a cooperate body. Not being in church for few Sundays does not determine your walk with God, nor are you forsaking the assembly. There are situations that keeps us back, however Psalms 122:1 says, "I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD."
Our thoughts about one another is a prayer before God; a prayer of sin, or a prayer of righteousness.
Therefore, we should stop pointing out the sins of others to condemn them, but start helping them; encourage them because we all have sins also.
The Woman with short skirt and breast out may come to the church, ask to sing to Jesus, and religious people would deny her. Religion says this woman should not be allowed on God's holy pulpit because of her dressing, but can we stop a person from coming to Christ how they see fit? You cannot tell a person how to come to God, neither can you tell God how, when and where to accept a person.
This woman's singing might just be the road to her Salvation.
There is no dress code to Salvation, but there is a dress code after Salvation. Luke 5:31, "And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick."
A father should know how to father his child and so is a spiritual father.
A woman who comes to church badly dressed, and her breast is showing off should not be cast out, but should be ministered unto. She is spiritual in need of love and help, and we should not reject her. If the pastor is afraid of being seduced then he should check himself.
Religion tells you in order to be saved, you MUST repeat a "sinner's prayer"; but Jesus said to be saved you must believe in your heart
Religion says, in order to get baptize you must go to convert classes for weeks; but the Holy Spirit says today is the day of Salvation.
Religion says, if you sin a certain sin in the church you must go on Probation for a period of time...and not serve in the house of God; the Holy Spirit says, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. NO man should stop a child of God from serving in the house of God.
Religion tells you that the church is the one that chooses a Pastor, and if he messes up the Board Members should kick him out; the Love of Christ says, Pastors are under the authority of Christ and he is the only one who can place and remove pastors from a church.
Religion says, if you attack me, I will call fire of God upon you to kill you; the Spirit says to love your enemies and do good to those who despise you.
Religion says, if you have a great job and contributes a great amount of money in the offering, then you are considered valuable to the church; and will be allowed to stand on the pulpit. But the Word of God says in 1 Cor 14:26, "How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying".
CHURCH AUTHORITY
In Religious churches, you usually find a particular pastor being the head of the church for many years, and within these years no other member would be given the mantle to function in the pastoral office. Many times, its when the pastor dies his son would take over the church; this is religion.
You should know that in a church there are people who are called to be pastors, evangelists, prophets, teachers, deacons and bishops etc.
Many are coming to Church services for years, and have never enter into their calling. They come Sunday after Sunday to listen to a "one man leadership", but they themselves never enter into their purpose.
Also in the church, the Leadership of the church is Board Team. They are the ones who basically control the preaching, messages, actions of the pastor. If they like him they will keep him; but if not there will terminate him.
In Religious Churches, pastors and other ministers are under the authority of man not God.
THE LOVE OF CHRIST VS RELIGIOUS LOVE
Many of us Christians need to learn to love, not with the love that we learn in Religion, but the love that is without dissimulation.
Religious churches sometimes show love, but their love is with great dissimulation [fake]. How do you know? They laugh with you in your face, but behind your back they say all manner of nasty and evil things about you.
They pretend to love, but but when you messed up they cut you off or shoves you on a side or even turn up their faces. They are well with you, but at your slightest opposition to their religious dominance and control they would turn around and bite you.
They scoff at your financial status, social status, your skin colour, family background etc., and many would not accept you on their pulpits because to them, you do not meet their prestigious standard.
The love of Christ embraces all those who need love, especially those who are rejected in society because of religious background, sexual orientation or social status.
Love drives out demons for you, you do not have to work hard to deal with a demon.
If you are struggling to fight demons, you do not have enough love and compassion in your heart.
Love brings the presence of God to your domain. There is no such thing as too much love, for God is Love and love is of God.
Lack of love for others is an open door to demons.
