DIVINE UNDERSTANDING OF FASTING; HOW TO FAST WITH WISDOM.
Here I also want to explain the great mistake that people make in fasting that blocks their breakthroughs after the Fast.
PREPARATION FOR SUCCESSFUL FASTING
Fasting must be connected to a spiritual purpose, with the vision of attaining a specific destiny. Therefor, the first thing we should have in check when decided to do a Fast is our energy storage level. When you stay a period without food, the 4 grams of glucose in your blood will decrease, sending your insulin level in a decline, thus triggering homeostasis.
When this happens, an enzyme called glycogen phosphorylase would start breaking down stored glycogen to supply the body with glucose, thus balancing your insulin levels. For the next eight to 12 hours, glucose derived from liver glycogen becomes the body's primary source of energy. After this the body will start using the body's fat and protein for energy.
It is therefore important to pack your body with healthy fats and protein before a Fast.
This explains why the Israelites were able to do long fasting without problem, because their bodies were packed with proteins from Grains and Nuts and healthy oils and Beef and Lamb meat.
MYSTERY OF FASTING
Fasting and prayer CANNOT move the hand of God, as many Christians teach, neither was fasting designed to force God to work on one’s behalf.
Many people did not receive the breakthrough or deliverance that they fasted for, because they think that the miracle would come because of the fast.
Let me note here, fasting itself does not give you a miracle, neither can fasting move the hand of God [nothing can]; rather, fasting is designed to be a sacrifice for mortification and sanctification. It creates an atmosphere within your spirit by the sacrifice of your fleshy and earthly desires. This sacrifice of your physical needs increases the capacity of your spirit, bearing the image of a living sacrifice to God. This image of a sacrificial life is what catches the attention of God. Fasting is designated to change you, not your situation. Based on your inner transformation, God will work. Thus, the scripture says in Eph 3:20, “Now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”
When you are changed, it bears the image of your success which will attract your success; it will also bear the image of your strength and grace etc.
I would like to list out the different fasting that can help our physical and spiritual being.
There are "Health Fastings" and "Spiritual Fastings."

DIVINE WISDOM FOR EFFECTIVE FASTING
In Fasting, numbers and elements are very important because they are the elements of divine representatives; they are points of contact for the aid of your fasting. Example, Jesus said, when you fast you should use Oil on your "Head" or “Forehead” [Matthew 6:17].
Also, Fasting goes by specific numbers such as:
When we fast and pray our spirit expands in capacity and size, and expand to become a great Giant. Hence is the term "Giant in the spirit.”
Our Soul does not enlarge but it would grow in strength and brilliance in the spirit as we sanctify and purify our soul. At this point, our Soul will become a spirit, a process called, “Building a spiritual house” or "Becoming spiritual". To become spirit, the person must be conformed to the spiritual principles whereby their soul takes up the image of the substance of the object of their belief.
This is what the bible meant when it says, "the spirit [Soul] of just men are made perfect."
FASTING FOR HEALTH BENEFITS
This type of Fasting is basically for increasing health benefits and decreasing factors for potential illnesses. It's where you eat certain foods and abstain from certain foods which are dimmed unhealthy to your health achievement.
When you are fasting for Health, it is usual that you eat certain foods like grains and vegetables and reject gluten products and foods containing fats, sugar, acids, and high Carbs.
In Health Fast, you can go on for as long as a year. It is not for spiritual benefits but for body toning. Health Fasts are for the purging of toxins and other harmful substances from the body and is designed to realign the good substances and increase alkaline.
FASTING FOR SPIRITUAL BENEFITS
Spiritual Fasting can either be done using the time gates of the “24 HOURS DAY CYCLE” or the “12 HOURS DAY CYCLE".
Spiritual Fasts are done in two Classifications: the “SOLID FAST METHOD” and the “ABSOLUTE FAST METHOD”
24 HRS AND 12 HRS FAST CYCLES
A person can fast "Night" and "Day",[Esther and the Jews fasted for 3 days and 3 nights] OR only Daytime,[Judges 20:26, "and fasted that day until evening."] or only Nights [2Sam 12:16]. This Fasting is done utilizing the entire 24-hours day cycle.
However, you can chose to fast utilizing ONLY 12 hours of the 24 Day. You can chose to do "Daylight fast from 6AM to 6PM or Nighttime fast from 6PM to 6AM. This Fasting Method I call "The 12 Hours Fast Cycle”.
This 12 Hours fasting Period is in harmony with the 12 Archangels of God's Kingdom; and the 12 hours of the day and 12 of the night gives us 24 hours, after the 24 Elders of Heaven.
"ABSOLUTE FASTS [Dry]" are done WITHOUT liquids and solids. Example - [Exo 34:28, "And Moses was there before the Lord forty days, and forty nights; he did not eat bread, and he did not drink water"]
Also, Ester 4:16, "Go, gather together all the Jews that are found in Shushan, and fast for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day"
"SOLID FASTS" are done by drinking ONLY "Water" [for hydration] and staying away from solids. No liquid such as milk or juice should enter your mouth but water. Note, the reason a person should not drink milk or juices during fast it's because when you are fasting your body should not be processing food substances, nor should your body be engaged in metabolic processes. Water does not have to go through any metabolic process in the body.
NOTE: A 24-Hour Dry Fasting that extend beyond 3 days should not be attempted without medical supervision, however in severe cases beyond one's control, a person can reach a maximum of 7 days without water but may require serious medical attention after.
Many people had their zeal spoken to them and they think it was the Holy spirit directing them to go above 7 days of fasting without food and water.
A Christian SHOULD NOT attempt a 24-Hours Dry Fast for more than 3 days, as it can be fatal and even cause death.
Neither should a person attempt 21 days or 40 days Fast without water, except if it is done under the Shekhinah Glory, as in the case of Moses upon the Mountain and Jesus in the Wilderness - Exodus 34:28, "And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water."
Any Dry Fast above 7 days without water outside the Shekhinah is Destruction and Death!
When the 6pm reaches, then you should eat something not too hard.
If you are doing more than three days from 6am-6pm, when you break your fast at 6pm, you should eat something light, i.g., cereal.
When you engage the 24 hours solid fast, you should drink only water throughout the day or night. You can chose to do either 1 day and 1 night, or 3 days and 3 nights, or 7 days and 7 nights based on your body's health. To go beyond 7 days without food is not scriptural, except in the 40 days Fast which is a fast designed for people who are connected to a specific purpose on Earth. However, if a person chose to go beyond 7 days, he or she should know for sure it it God's Spirit speaking.
You can choose 6am - 6pm or 6pm -6am as in Judges 20:26, "and fasted that day until even."
The 12 Hours Fasting Method works, but it is not as effective as when you do a 24 Hours Fasting Method. The 24 Hours is anointed by the 24 Elders in Heaven, therefore your flesh in greater crucified when there is no break in Fasting. Those who break their Fasting to eat will get minimal results, but those who do a complete 24 hours will see greater result.
40 Days Fast was never and IS NOT a normal Fast and was never practiced by Ancient Israel, but was only done by Moses, Elijah and Jesus who were indeed "Stars", special people.
This type of Fast [40 Days] is a category of Fasting where food and water are not allowed, therefor, If someone is to do a biblical 40 days Fasting, he or she must adhere to the principle of this type of fast - no food or water for forty days and forty nights.
40 days Fast WITH or WITHOUT Water IS NOT recommended except if it is done under the Shekhinah Glory. This type of Deut 9:9, "When I was gone up into the mount...",
Exo 24:18, "And Moses went into the midst of the cloud",
Any Fasting whether Dry or Solid should be directed by the God of Hosts.
Also, Fasting goes by specific numbers such as:
- ONE DAY - Judges 20:26, "and fasted that day until evening." [1Sa 14:24; 2Sa 1:12; 2Sa 3:35].
- THREE DAYS, Esther 4:16, "and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day".
- SEVEN DAYS -1 Samuel 31:13, "and fasted seven days".
- FORTY DAYS- Matthew 4:2, "And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights," And Moses- Exodus 34:28, "And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water."

TRUTH ABOUT PARTIAL FASTS
A partial fast is not a complete abstinence from food, but it entails eating selected foods. This is called a fast of “Pleasant Foods”. This can either be for health purposes, or a result of mourning. We see this in Daniel 10:2-3, “In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks. I ate no pleasant food, and no flesh or wine entered into my mouth,”
This type of fast is not a Spiritual fast designated as fasting for seeking God. It is a fast that happens only during mourning [that is besides a health program], or in times of griefs or bereavement. This type of fasting which is done because of mourning is an “Involuntary Fasting. It was not planned but came as a common aspect of sorrow.
Dan 10:2-3 says, “In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks. I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled."
In this verse, Daniel did not choose to do a designated Fast, but was ONLY mourning.
Though it was not a designated fast, yet Daniel eating unpleasant meals automatically and technically served in the same category as a Partial Fast to him. Again, spiritual fasts are to seek the Face of God for personal and spiritual "sanctification", which will attract the Hand of God in a situation. In this case, Daniel was also NOT seeking the Face and Hand of the Almighty God in a matter.
In scriptures, involuntary Fasts have always been a natural expression of grief and sorrow and became the customary expression of inner emotion of sorrow. When in mourning, it is customary to stay without food, pleasant sleep, or pleasant food or even a full night sleep. Involuntary fast.
David demonstrated his grief at Abner's death (2Sa 3:35) by fasting.
Hannah, who was greatly distressed on account of her childlessness, “wept, and did not eat” (1Sa 1:7).
SO-CALLED DANIEL FAST
Some Christians incorporate what they call the "Daniel Fast" into the portfolio of Spiritual Fasting. I want to settle a common confusion among Christians concerning what is called “Daniel Fast.”
In Daniel 1:12 it says, "I beg you, prove your servants ten days. And let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink.”
This was NOT chosen as a Fast, but an abstinence strategy, a preventative measure to prevent defilement by unclean foods. This partial form of eating is similar to a health fast but was absolutely NOT a spiritual fast.
Spiritual fasts are to seek the Face of God for personal and spiritual "sanctification", which will attract the Hand of God in a situation. In this case, Daniel was NOT seeking the Face and Hand of the Almighty God in a matter.
To conclude, NO ONE has ever done a partial fast for seeking the face of God. What people call the Daniel Fasts were not designated Fasts but were sudden and unplanned decisions to abstain from certain foods or food in general.
FEW OTHER TYPES OF FAST

MISTAKES, KEYS AND GUIDELINES IN FASTING
When you are fasting, you cannot eat until you break the Fast.
If you cannot do 24 hours Fasting, then do 12 hours with Water and eat after the fast.
Before long periods of fasting, one should engage in eating lots of Beef and Meat from the Sheep, as one will need a lot of Glycogen during fasting.
When Fasting you should NOT get angry or engage in discord, or any kind of sin.
It is always better to be secluded during these Fasting, shut up and set apart.
You should not engage in Electronics such as Phone, TV or Laptop except for spiritual purposes that will enhance the effectiveness of you fasting. Any form of distraction will break the flow.
Many people fast without spending adequate time in prayer.
Fastings should always be accompanied by lots of prayer or else the fasting will be empty.
During Fasting, you should be careful with Christian Books as there are many that are contaminated with foul spirits.
Remember, when you are in Fasting your spirit is opened to the spirit realm.
You can either attain demon spirits or more of the presence of the Holy Spirit during this time. Be careful who and what you are exposed to.
Materials are crucial in fasting and I would only recommend the Bible and Dictionaries thereof and teaching materials from true servants of God. When you Fast with Windom, you will find what you are looking for. You cannot have sexual intimacy during a time of fasting.
When you Fast, you must have spiritual clearance from your leader, or it will not be as effective.
Listen, Whenever I Fast, I cannot function like normal times because of the electricity over my body, especially coming from my hands and ten fingers.
When I Fast, there is a high voltage of electrical charge that comes over my physical body and it would be moving all over my body and face. I would have to keep my left hand as far away from my right hand because the electrical voltage that is coming from my hands. It would electrocute me, and I would be shouting "ouch".
In the realm of the spirit there are forces and codes. To access your destiny in fasting you must acquire the code. Each blessing has a code.
Each Fast is a key, therefore you must know what type of Fast to do for what situation.
When you are Fasting, Linking Angels surrounds your parameter, but the Ministering Angels comes at the end of your fast. There is an oil of grace and sustenance that comes on you, but your discipline is required for the flow of virtues during fasting.
Again, let me emphasize. You can do a Dry Fast or Solid Fast for as long as you want using the 12 Hours Method 6am -6pm, then you eat something after the break. Or you can choose to fast from 6pm-6am; it's up to you.
When you are fasting, you cannot eat until you break the Fast.
If you cannot do 24 hours Fasting, then do 12 hours with Water and eat after the fast.

You should not engage in Electronics such as Phone, TV or Laptop except for spiritual purposes that will enhance the effectiveness of you fasting. Any form of distraction will break the flow.
Many people fast without spending adequate time in prayer.
Fastings should always be accompanied by lots of prayer or else the fasting will be empty.
During Fasting, you should be careful with Christian Books as there are many that are contaminated with foul spirits.
Remember, when you are in Fasting your spirit is opened to the spirit realm.

Listen, Whenever I Fast, I cannot function like normal times because of the electricity over my body, especially coming from my hands and ten fingers.
When I Fast, there is a high voltage of electrical charge that comes over my physical body and it would be moving all over my body and face. I would have to keep my left hand as far away from my right hand because the electrical voltage that is coming from my hands. It would electrocute me, and I would be shouting "ouch".

When you are Fasting, Linking Angels surrounds your parameter, but the Ministering Angels comes at the end of your fast. There is an oil of grace and sustenance that comes on you, but your discipline is required for the flow of virtues during fasting.
