POWER OF A PARENT'S BLESSING
Many people who are struggling with setbacks, hindrances, blockages, and misfortunes are left in ignorance because they have not discovered the power of "Receiving a Proclaimed Blessing from a Father". [Not everyone can succeed or be prosperous without a Father's blessing; whether saved or unsaved]. A Father’s blessings upon you can break a family curse, as well as demolish setbacks.
The words of the parents [especially the father] spoken over a child are compressed with immense power. I said especially the father’s blessings because the blessing of the Generation is usually done by the father- (Gen 49, Gen 27:29, Gen 31:55.) They can bring eternal blessings or eternal curses unless God Himself overrules. Therefore, a woe is upon the child upon whom rested the father's curse; but happy and blessed is the child upon whom is the father's blessing.
In the Old Testament, it was a pleasure for fathers to bless their child/children or grandchildren.
Genesis 48:8-9, "When Jacob saw Joseph's sons, he asked, "Who are these boys? Joseph answered, these are my sons, whom God has given me here in Egypt. Jacob said, "Bring them to me so that I may bless them."
Why did Jacob wanted to bless the children so desperately? Because a blessing is an ability and empowerment to gain success and prosperity [physical and spiritual] in life. In a blessing, high value is attached to the person being blessed. Blessings help propel people into their destiny and immediately create open gates where they can become a beneficiary of success in the future.
Many demons in our lives are there not because we have sinned, but because of the curses placed over our lives through declarations, and proclamations and confessions etc.
A curse of poverty and setback and prosperity hindrance will be overthrown, dislodge and replaced by the blessing of a father. This blessing will change the person's disposition.

Blessing of Joseph - Gen 48:15-16, “Then he blessed Joseph: May God, whom my fathers: Abraham and Isaac served, bless these boys! May God, who has led me to this very day, bless them! May the angel, who has rescued me from all harm, bless them! May my name and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac live on through these boys! May they have many children, many descendants!”
Blessings of Judah - Gen 49:8, “Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee.

Gen 49:25, "By the God of your father, Who shall help you. And may the Almighty bless you with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lies beneath, blessings of the breasts and of the womb."
Gen 49:26, "The blessings of your father are greater than the blessings of my ancestors, to the utmost bound of the everlasting hills. They shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him, the ruler, the leader who was separated from his brothers."
Having said that, the blessings of Ephraim and Manasseh have sounded throughout the history of Israel and is now used as a traditional family blessing upon the Israeli males. Why? Just before Jacob died, he blessed his two grandsons, “Ephraim” and “Manasseh” [sons of Joseph]. He says they will become role models for the Jews. On that day Jacob blessed them and said, "In times to come, the people of Israel will use you as a blessing. They will say, [to their children] 'May God make you like Ephraim and Manasseh." (Genesis 48:20).
Here are two Traditional blessings that are proclaimed over Jewish children.

Ruth 4:11, “The LORD makes the woman that is come into thine house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel.”
Blessings of Rebekah - Gen 24:60, “and they blessed Rebekah and said to her: “Our sister, may you become thousands of ten thousands, and may your seed possess the gate of those who hate him.”
THE BLESSING THAT GOD HIMSELF WROTE
When God wanted to establish Israel as a Nation, he told Aaron to proclaim the blessing of (Numbers 6:24–27) upon the children of Israel, in order to put His holy name upon them. This blessing is what the established Israel in victory and prosperity among all nations on Earth.
Many people do not understand the power of this blessing,
There is evidence that this blessing was used on silver amulets as discovered in graves at Ketef Hinnom, Jerusalem, and dating back to the First Temple Period.
You should place your hands over the children and say this blessing over them every day.
NUMBERS 6:24 - (The Aaronic Blessings)

Yāʾēr YaHUaH pānāv ēlekhā vichunékā
Ya’er YaHUaH panav eilecha vichuneka - (Yahuah make His face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee);
Yissā YaHUaH pānāv ēlekhā
Yisa YaHUaH panav eilecha - (Yahuah lift up His countenance upon thee);
V’yāsēm lekhā shālōm
v’yasem lecha shalom- (and give thee shalom).
“May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make His face shine upon you.
May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you
and give you His peace.”
Even anointing your children has a great significant. Anointing children is as a seal upon the child and keeps with the verse from Ecclesiastes 9:8, “Let your garments be always white; and let not your head lack oil”.
Abraham told his servant history - (Genesis 24:2) to put his hand under his thighs and make an oath, what does this mean? Why the hand under the thighs?
The King James Bible did not translate the verse to mean what it really mean, but when the Servant placed his hand under Abraham's thighs, it was to take hold Abraham's testicles. Yes, the servant actually held Abraham's testicles and make an oath. Why Abraham’s testicles?
The holding of Abraham's testicles and swearing means that the servant was making an oath not upon Abraham, but upon Abraham's entire generation. Remember, the testicles represent generation/seed.
This oath is heavy. If the servant break his oath, then the judgement that would come upon that servant would not be from Abraham only, but it would come from Abraham's entire generation.
Blessing of Ephraim and Manasseh - Gen 48:16, “The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers: Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.”
